EHDOC develops and manages safe, secure, and affordable housing for
senior citizens across the United States. EHDOC currently sponsors and manages 50 affordable senior housing communities and has three projects under development, comprising some 5000 apartments in 15 states as well as Washington DC and Puerto Rico.
EHDOC is a not for profit 501©3 organization that was formerly known as the National Council of Senior Citizens Housing Management Corporation. It was founded in 1978 by the National Council of Senior Citizens, the organization that strongly advocated for Medicare, Social Security, and the Older Americans Act.
Senior Safety Online has developed a cost effective safety awareness
program for seniors living in senior housing facilities. This eight year old program's implementation has lead to a significant reduction in falls and fires in many buildings.
Senior Safety Online builds models for developing safety awareness programs that can be used cost effectively in the community. Seniors living in a safe home environment will have fewer accidents. This will benefit both the senior and the community.
The Senior Safety Neighborhood Awareness Project (SSNAP) for Broward County has been made possible by a grant from the Community Foundation of Broward and a matching donation from American Medical Alert Corp.(AMAC).
