Seminars - Building Tools

The Secret to Reducing Falls and Fires is keeping people aware through repetition.

Seminars conducted on a regular basis have reduced accidents due to falls and fires in some Senior Housing Facilities by 70%.

Seminar presenters should keep them short and make them fun.

1. Keep them around 20 minutes

2. Focus on just one topic

3. Invite participants to share their experiences with the group

4. Bring goodies if you have them

5. Coffee and donuts is always good but serve them at the end of the presentation

Seminars are good for:

1. Church groups

2. Retiree clubs

3. Senior Centers

4. Anywhere somebody can think of!

If you are invited by a senior group, we can provide you with tools to help them keep safe.

Handouts are available.

1. Our community safety booklet

2. Our safety booklet for senior housing

3. We can design posters announcing the meeting

4. Home safety checklists for fire and falls which you can find on the site.

5. Posters that can be used to reminde seniors regarding different safety topics.
