Today's financial issues are unparalled since the 'Great' Depression.There is nothing 'Great'about living through financial turmoil! Worry and Depression are not part of living gracefully. They are the result of not knowing what to do and having no access to financial expertise unless a person has a high net worth.
Since most people need financial counseling, we want to provide access to affordable counseling that focuses on their own personal issues. Most advice is general and doesn't address the needs of individual retirees. askAFS provides unlimited access to accredited financial counselors who, on a confidential basis, will provide helpful information that will help seniors deal with their own personal financial issues. Emergency Medical Alert Systems
Every 35 minutes a senior needs the services of the local hospital's emergency room due to trauma from falls and fires(Source CDC). Forty percent of seniors who experience falls and are not rescued within an hour die within a year (Source CDC). Many who survive end up in nursing homes. The costs emanate from the senior to the family and community. The cost to seniors is loss of their life or lifestyle, the family of the senior is put under considerable stress and the cost to the community for providing services is staggering.
Medical alert systems are gaining traction as a solution to this problem. For instance, they have been suggested by the National Institute of Health (NIS) and Centers for Disease control (CDC).
